FiveM in 2026: ESX, QBCore or Qbox for your server

What the sources agree on

ESX, QBCore and Qbox are the three frameworks most server owners compare. Several 2026 comparisons recommend Qbox for new servers, and some find ESX fastest in their CPU measurements.

Market share figures vary by source. One comparison lists ESX at 31.8% of servers and QBCore at 18.7%. Treat these as an estimate from one site, not a census.

Two dates that affect every server

The Cfx.re Portal guide describes a change effective 21 October 2026: server name, description, tags, language and images move from the configuration files to the Portal. Servers with empty details may show a Missing server data error in the server list.

A Dutch hosting guide reports that FXServer builds older than the cutoff of 15 October can no longer connect. It lists build 35245 as recommended and 37346 as latest.

  • Check the Portal fields for your server today.
  • Test your build on a staging server before you update FXServer.

How to choose and test

Name the framework in your request. A resource written for ESX uses different functions from one written for QBCore or Qbox, and the generator writes what you ask for.

Before you go live, load the resource on a staging server with the same FXServer build as production, and check the framework's own release notes for function changes.
